Plankton Race Plankton Sahayra & Jack

Our plankton worked great in testing and we were sure we were going to win it all. However in the first round of "April Madness" our plankton sunk to the bottom way faster than it did in any of our tests we did. Our technique of taking of slightly more clay was working really well. We should have just taken off slightly more clay and I'm sure our plankton would have performed much better. We had two corks, a pin, a sewing needle, two beads for eyes, and two feathers for decoration. If only our plankton performed as well as it looked. Hi guys, my names Jack Dennis. I took this class so I could get one more science credit for my direct transfer degree. I chose this class over the other science classes because it seemed really interesting. The ocean fascinates me and I didn't know very much about it so I hopefully by the end of this class I'll have a basic understanding of the ocean. I'd like to learn about ecosystems and how they work. Specifically I'd like to learn about coral reefs and tropical ecosystems. I'm currently working on my business transfer degree and hopefully I'll continue my studies at the foster school of business at UW. I am about halfway through my transfer degree and I think I'll have about 3 more quarters here at EDCC. The only experience I have with marine systems is from watching the planet earth documentaries about the oceans. Most of the information will probably be new to me.
